The Guitar Basics is best suited for kids aged 6 and upwards who want to start off with the basics. The course will cover the basics of construction, playing melodies, and reading music notations. This online course that is offered in English by Trinity college of Music certified tutors aims at providing a strong foundation. The course will lay the foundation for acquiring clarity of concepts of Steady Beat, Rhythm, Tempo, Pitch, Volume and Note Values building the foundation for any student who wants to learn any instrument, let alone guitar. The student develops listening, reading & playing skills leaving them wanting to do more. The Basics course is designed for absolute beginners in music ,who can definitely become a good listener and nurture the joy of music. And the course is divided into three modules plus trinity songs.
- Introduce staff notation

- Understand Note Values/Beats, Time Signature (4/4, 3/4), Tempo
- Understand Beats, Rests & Ties
- Understand and play C Major scale and Chord Family on Staff
- Make student acquainted to Dynamics (p,mp,mf,f) and Articulations (Slur, Staccato)

This course is for students who have completed the basics and have a fundamental understanding of guitar. The course, over a period of 24 weeks teaches how to play and perform simple melodies and songs with the help of reading Staff Notation. The course is divided into three modules plus trinity songs. Students learn how to read music as staff notation builds one’s sight reading skills as well. Through this course, the students will be able to express their musical ideas and feelings, use their creativity, imagination and intuition for the pieces and songs they learn, develop their skills, knowledge and understanding of the instrument and reflect on and evaluate their progress.

This course helps you master the instrument of wonders. It will help you to learn and improve your skills. The student at the end of the course would be in a position to understand and pick up any song of their choice and learn on their own. Students will be able to take their listening, reading & playing skills to an advanced level. One would have to complete the predecessor courses in order to enrol for the Advanced Grade. At the end of the course, there will be an examination from Trinity College of Music for which Lucy Learning will prepare you for.
